Cat Personalities

Cats have such different personalities - I have four living at my house presently, and they're all so different! Years ago while visiting the resident of a trailer park, some half-grown kittens were skirting in and out from under one of the trailers nearby, but most of them were skittish and untame. One of them, however, was more friendly than the others.
Still a bit shy, she would come within range of a little petting, and she reminded me of a cat my brother had owned when we were kids. I decided to bring her home and give her a real life. I named her 'Chala' (after the origional cat, Tachala) and took her to my house. She soon realized her new situation was incredibly amazing, and has been the happiest, most mellow cat in the house.
A few months later I adopted another older kitten from an animal shelter, a calico that my daughter named 'Bindi'. The two of them got along fairly well, if a little distant. As Bindi got older, she got a little tempermental, and acted like the queen of the house. (Chala just ignored this unpleasant behavior).
Later we adopted an abandoned stray kitty, a manx I named 'Maxi' (after a cat in my past) and she promptly gave birth to several kittens. Oh yay. I soon had her spayed, gave away all the cute little ones, and later she decided to take over as queen "B" of the house, and Bindi was de-throned to live as an underling. They still spat with each other to this day. Oh well, cat life goes on...
But about a week after the kittens were adopted out, my teenage son brought home a scrawny little black kitten from a grocery store parking lot! As much as I did not want another cat in the house, this little black waif soon won us over! Lacking any better name, we called him Mr. Kitten until something else was decided upon. We never changed his name. He remained small and thin for what seemed months, and didn't seem to grow much. He had a very engaging personality, and refused to be ignored - purring and climbing into our laps as often as possible. Max didn't seem to mind a kitten in the house, since hers had recently disappeared, but later she decided she might not like him all that much.
Mr. Kitten did finally grow, and is now the longest, tallest cat in the house. If he ever gets fat, he will be the largest of them all. His demeaner is still the loveliest and funniest of all of our feline companions. Oh, and he loves to wrestle with our dog, who is aproximately the same size.
